Youtube: portlandmegop Donna is a native Mainer, life long resident and has lived in Portland since 1993. She is married to Adam and has two grown sons, Anthony and Nathan. Donna has enjoyed working in the healthcare field for 25 years as a Direct Care Provider. She was a small business owner from 1999-2004 as a Wellness Consultant. Donna became interested in politics in 2006 after her oldest son who had joined the Army called to share he would be going to Iraq. Due to the lack of media coverage Donna elected to do her own extensive independent research into the wars, which led to her discovering our loss of freedoms and the impending disaster with our economy. Not seeing solutions being offered from our elected officials she became deeply concerned and wanted to help. Currently Donna volunteers with Restore The Republic as a political activist in activities to educate the public about current issues as a means to provide real solutions for our economy and National Security. As Maine’s RTR Vice State Coordinator, Donna was one of the Applicants for the People’s Veto against Real ID. Donna is also a voting member of Portland’s Conservative Candidates Caucus. Donna's Pledge to You: - I will fight for transparency and accountability in Augusta to eliminate wasteful spending.
- I will fight for our Health Freedom.
- I will sponsor legislation to implement a LONG TERM PLAN for Maine to bring good paying JOBs from businesses that won’t harm our environment.
- I will fight for ENERGY independence.
- I will side with Parents and Teachers to create EXCELLENCE in our schools.
- I WILL honor our Constitution and restore our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
- I have signed the Tax Payers Pledge not to raise taxes.
